The atmosphere will be very flat.

Here come the United fans

I thought there would be a view towards town (like the US Bank stadium) leaving the home end at the north end. Confusing.

Yep I agree. But see those concept designs from today, it's the opp way around.

This in the echo seems to confirm the home end is towards town:

Mr Meis said: “We're planning on creating a very large home end in the south stand of the stadium which should be similar to Dortmund's 'Yellow Wall.'

“Depending on the final stadium capacity, the stand will hold 12,000-15,000 fans and we also want to include a concourse that will look back at the city, immediately by the home end that would be very cool.”

Yep my mistake. Under impression we'd have a sort of view towards town. Wouldn't be the case if it's that way. Who cares!

Indeed you would think that would be the case, if we look at the exterior shots it shows a large glass end (with EVERTON across it) but the stand reaches almost the top. In all honesty it would make sense the other way around but I guess they don't want to put the home end by the waste water plant.

From what the key principles said:
  • The Main Stand will showcase our commitment to quality, professionalism and delivering the warmest welcome. Whilst it will be modern, luxurious and imposing, it will retain its identity as a ‘football stand’ and an ‘Everton stand’. It will offer internal views of the pitch and external views of Liverpool Waters, the City and the River Mersey.

So I think that means...

West stand = Main stand inc hospitality, corporate car park behind it and views across water from within the hospitality areas inside the stand
East stand = away fans at the north end, main fan zone running alongside it
South Stand = Single tier stand
North stand = Dinky stand with HUGE screen
