If I may ask any fans that attended, is anyone "presenting any case" at these forums to Dan, or is it like at he AGM where it appeared everyone was all lovey-dovey (or possibly just sitting there like stunned mullets :) ) and not challenging anyone on stage?

Evertonians do have a track record of sitting there and saying nothing when it matters, then going online to whinge.

On the flipside, GOT wouldn't have been born had it not been for our propensity to enjoy a good old-fashioned whinge

When these images came out it was the same time as that Design comp, personally I think the external image looks awful not at all in keeping with the docks so can't see that being the final design.

I'm not a fan of it either especially having EVERTON written across the width of the stand, but seeing what has come out today shows the the 'bowl' has the exact same layout kind of proves that this document is the real deal. Like it or not it is going to look very close to that picture.

Exactly. Spurs’ main stand is going to be 17k. Isn’t the Holte End bigger than the Kop?

Yes mate, the Kop End at Anfield holds 13,000 while the Holte End at Villa Park holds 13,500.

We need to be aiming for something bigger and better than the home end at Villa Park.

Indeed.. but we need at least 15000 IMHO .
Spurs 'home end' will be at least 17000 but I suspect they will have a larger capacity

As in my first post on the other stadium thread, I'm here in peace and I never write anything relating to football, only about the new stadium .

I like the look of your renders a lot and it really will be a massive upgrade on Goodison. The exta seat widths and depth will seem light years away to now and im someone who is very much "into" stadiums and I will very much look forward to visiting it when it's built, (I've probably now been to around 120 different stadiums watching Spurs and about another 10 to see England abroad?)

I think you're correct about capacity difference between the two. Looking at your renders/footprint compared to the NWHL I think your stadium will be about 6,000 less (around 56,000) if they stay true to these drawings 56,000 is still a great capacity and as its being built with safe standing in mind the authorities may eventually allow a ratio of say 1.3-1 instead of 1.1-1 and you will be looking at a capacity of over 60,000.

The renders for your new place has the single tier stand slightly steeper than ours but the reason for that is that is NWHL is bigger so that means the stand has to be further away to fit in with the stadium bowl.
Your East and West stands have the ring of corporate seats set a bit further back, this means the people in the upper tier will be a little further back in comparison to NWHL.
You also have the much better looking less/no "Wavy" sides. This does mean that you will have a few more seats higher in the corners (further from the goal at the other end) but every new stadium will have something that's not perfect, (like ours.)

Again, I really like the renders and if you wanna see your new stadium 5 years before it's built, try and get one of the 3,000 tickets available to you next season ;), (minor differences but overall they are quite similar.)

As I wrote earlier, if the keep it to this speck, I really would be surprised if the large majority of you are not gonna be over the moon with this stadium?

There was a fair bit of questioning and push back on a few different issues (from capacity to the position of the family enclosure)

Still 3 more sessions to go as well.

Thanks for your post mate. Appreciate you taking the time to post it in here.

Regarding the part of your post I bolded above, and going by the pics Dan Meis provided to compare our stadium design with your NWHL (see below), it appears that our main stand will be steeper on the bottom leading up to the corporate boxes. Above that the top sections seem on par.

No idea how that is going to transpire in real life. And in fact with all the comparisons to all the other stadium blueprints, I can't see how 55,000 is achievable with these blueprints. More I'd say around the 58-60k range.

However, these are the architects "initial drawings". If the Everton Board do what we all fear and reduce the capacity, the blueprints will probably need to change.

Thanks mate. And thanks again for all your input in here.
Positive first impressions. My fear is the Everton Board do their thing and the blueprint will need to be scaled down.

Having heard Meis talking about his vision for the exterior of the ground yesterday, I’d be fairly surprised if that’s the final look

This is more interpretation than explicit comments, but if anything, I get the feeling that Meis is cautioning them against overextending on the capacity.

He’s a believer in the scarcity, and in filling the stadium every single game, rather than leaving empty seats for some matches

Can see where he’s coming from, and do think to some extent it’s not utterly vital whether it’s 55k or 60k - the overall impact and how the stadium builds atmosphere is more important. There’s definitely some site constraints too from what he was saying.

Obviously would like it as big as possible, but certainly not going to cry if it’s an amazing 55k+ stadium, just because it’s not 60k.

Yes I think youre right.
None of them really fit in with the surrounding environment...Meis has said in the past tgat it should fit in with the heritage of the docks and surrounding area i.e. Titanic hotel and Stanley brick buildings.
