I thought he played well today. He is a leader on the pitch which is something we lack. His career has badly stalled, I do wonder if Martinez is the problem though?

Did zero apart from a few passes, a disgraceful foul on long and waddled around looking disinterested.

Look at the energy and quality compared to a 17 year old who got on the ball, tackled well, kept things simple and showed some desire.

Notice how old it the player Zatara's praising. You couldn't make it up.

Mate, if 20+ posters say that Gibson did well today, and you're the only one bashing him, then maybe, just maybe, you might be wrong?

For me, its a clear YES.


2nd Question, Do you enjoy watching dirty fouls like the potentially serious injury inducing one Gibson made?

For me, its a NO.

Were there any noticable fair tackles made by Gibson where you thought, Wow hes not just a lump sho ambles around waiting for the ball? Or were you more impressed by Davies tackle?

For me,Davies made a Besic-esque tackle and Gibson looked sunday league in comparison.

Utter rubbish. The reason he was in that position was because he was moving out as Funes Mori brought the ball out, making himself available for the pass. When Funes Mori decided to overrun the ball, he had to make that foul as Funes Mori was way out of position and had given the ball away.

Your whole post was total tripe; Gibbo being over the age of 20 doesn't fit into your FM fuelled delusions over the future of the squad and instead of judging him on his performance today you create a load of rubbish to fit your youth obsessed narrative.

17 year old Tom Davies replaced him just after 80mins and our midfield looked alot better with more energy, better passing etc and he made one great tackle and another where he played the ball out of danger.

Totally showed up Gibsons performance in the space of 10 mins.

Sadly you have the Gibson "fans" who think hes "ace" as he can pass the ball forwards who have been stuck on poor midfield play for so long...probably end up in the championship or league one next season.
