David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

We're too nice, it's one reason we fail
This, just look at the Lampard/FA thing at the moment, if that was one of the big boys they would have a team of researchers/lawyers pulling examples from throughout the season to produce a big dossier of evidence to fire back at with.

Should get a good long touchline ban for that, could have easily done some serious damage there.
He’ll be lucky with a touchline ban. Looking at the far away angle the kid has his back turned so wouldn’t have seen it coming, would have sent him flying head first. Could’ve been a serious incident- if that connects he might’ve been sent to the cells instead of the stands.

Something very Fiorentina about the way they went out last night, the trophy was there for them to take yet one below-par performance in the entire competition ends up ruining the whole thing.

Moyes will always be the Moyes we knew, brilliant organiser and a magician in the transfer market, but ultimately he always fails at the crunch moment. A d-head of a bloke as well. It's the reason I wasn't in favour of him coming back and never will be. Would he have improved us short-term? Undoubtedly yes, and he'd also probably have helped out a lot of other problems at the club. But in the long-term, does it really lead to anything substantial? No, because he's incapable of making the final step and looks like he always will be. Clubs always need to keep evolving.

No ill-will here, just I remember clearly what life was like under him and, despite our troubles, I don't really pine for those days to come back again. Would feel like accepting being nearly-men for life and who wants that? I'd rather dream (even if it is deluded) than know what to expect every single year.

Reflects the club he’s at I think -

Nice at everton (too nice!)
Arrogant at united.
Feral/obnoxious at wet spam.

Usual bottling form from Davey in a semi - and to think people wanted this fraud back here!
How is he a fraud?

The club would be in a far better position now if we had him during the Moshiri era (I'm not saying that as a negative on Lampard currently though).

He’s a complete coward and bottle job mate - he helped build this plucky little Everton schtick with his best mate Bill, and created the narrative that we’ve had good times. Knife to a gunfight crap, surrendering semi finals and finals, then crapping on us from a great height when flashing his knickers at united - in short, a fraud.

Sure, he stabilised us, many thanks Dour Davey, but he’s part of the problem at the club and yet blues want him back - madness.

Being in a better position with him (not sure we would tbh) isn’t enough to advocate the job for him, and he’s a specialist in failure ever since he left us - just what we need that.

(Clutches pearls)

“He could have killed him!”
