David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

At worst, like Allardyce here, he'll get 18 months pay for six months work. For a man in his late 50's, that's not a bad deal.

Plus, they're not in quite the dire straights they were last time, so he might not have to grind out quite so many results this time which could mean he'll be less hated by the end of the season and see out his contract.

The six month thing is more likely though.

Unlike Allardyce, who for all his bluster, knows that he`s only ever going to get 6 mth gigs, with a payout at the end, Moyes seems to genuinely think that he`s still got what it takes to be a top manager lol

If he´d got this job 4 years ago he´d definitely have been using that press conference to tell everyone it´d be a miracle to keep them in the league. A lot more bullish this time around. If nothing else, I think he´ll move them towards mid table. There´s a decent enough squad there. Too good to be where they are.

He really is just so far up his own arse it's untrue. Complete misplaced arrogance.

'Winning is what I do' is the latest peach he's come out with today.

Failed at his last four jobs, and lasting less than a year in each of them would suggest he wasn't exactly doing much 'winning'.

Without looking it up, has he won a game at any of the big grounds yet ?
His record for us was horrific.
