David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

Sold his soul to the Red Devils. He must reflect on life and wonder about the devil being in the actual details and know he’s failed a cosmic test leaving Everton. As it’s just been down down down.

He's a winner though. Despite relegating two different teams (as things stand - or likely to stand anyway).

I don't actually mind that he went to utd and it was an opportunity he couldn't really turn down despite the next man after SAF being on a hiding to nothing. He should have just signed a two year extension with us earlier instead of messing us about and then we would have got a small bit of compo for him. Everything would have been that bit more amicable, if he didn't put in a 30 million bid for Baines and Fellaini that is.

ICI offered me a high ranking managerial job a few years ago.

I know nothing about chemistry, so I turned it down.

Moyes should have used the same rationale when the Mancs came calling, his ego got the better of him.

He will eventually return to manage Preston NE, and his journey will be complete.

Millions in the bank, but a series of football clubs and fans, marked by failure and boredom.

Yep the fact he screwed us really didn’t do the karma any good. It’s either in private moments or his death bed but it will come to him if it hasn’t. We all make big mistakes that’s one of his.

The man must look back at about 10 days of his life (sacking all United’s staff and the Baines/Felli stuff) as by far the most idiotic 10 days of his entire life.

He had the pick of almost any player in any league to go and buy , and a solid title winning team behind him assembled by the greatest manager of all time, and he sacked all the staff and went on to tarnish his Everton legacy forever.

I don’t think he would have succeeded at Man United anyway , but if he didn’t do any of that he would have had a better chance and could have come back here with open arms.

You would struggle to name a more idiotic chain events in association football history.

That FA cup final against Chelsea.

Saha scores in the first minute, and Moyes had 2 choices, go for it or sit back and hope for the best.

If we had won the game, who knows what would have subsequently happened.

He is a victim of his own temerity.

They were stunned by that opening goal we coulda went balls to the wall and went for a second while they were staggered. Really set the tone.

There’s not a strand of that type of dna in Moyes unfortunately. We played like a team that was losing 5 nil and just wanted to keep it as least embarrassing as possible after being one nil up.
