David Moyes

People genuinely want us to stay in line don't they? We had 11 years with the man, 4 too long. His zenith was getting to the 09 cup final and he choked it, that should have been the time to go and get someone fresh in, instead he stayed on, bottled another semi 3 years later and ditched us for United the year after that

To be fair, I don't think he bottled the final - Malouda simply had Tony Hibbert on toast that day.

That said, obviously Moyes alongside Howe is at the very bottom of the list of people I'd like to see manage Everton.

I’d ask if them if they had ever heard of contingency plans? A bit of foresight, planning in case a manager isn’t working out or leaves as fast as a fly to [Poor language removed]. What if scenarios , complimented by dossiers not just in the UK but around the globe.

These two candidates reek of a lack of any of that. They know, fully well, the season tickets will be sold out, the fans will be there as always and they play on that. They know many love the club and are very passionate. And around we go . That’s not a dig at the fans. It’s at the decision makers.

Managers and players get stick, get called out for accountability however when it comes to the decision makers or supposed decision makers, people get up in arms and defend them if anyone isn’t content or unhappy with the “custodians “ of this club.

No club is entitled to success , this is monotonous dross however. To be clear I’m not defending Greenback from Danger Mouse for his phoney exit either.

They absolutely haven't. Pointed this out earlier. It's why I think Brands should be sacked.

The pursuit of Zaha and the resultant panic buy of Iwobi spoke volumes about his capabilities.

Still baffles me that Hibbert started that day when Jacobson was doing alright in the games before that

Tough one. Jacobsen wasn't great, idea I think was Hibbert was more defensively sound but he got tore apart on the day.

Can criticise Moyes for an awful lot but the final isn't one of those things IMO. We just got beat by the better side on the day, it just stung as we took the early lead.

Its one of those big what if's, I was certain our name was on the trophy that year especially after the Boro and United games. If only Jags hadn't got snapped at Newcastle the week after then Arteta went the same way or was it the other way round?

Of all the half-decent managers in the world I can't imagine many I wouldn't take over this fella.

Not for how he left to United but because he is just so, so uninspiring.

As tragic as it is to say the penalty shootout vs United is easily the best moment since 1995.

I really don't think we should go back he did a great job at the time but he wouldn't succeed under a dof we need someone younger who can rebuild us just as Davie did when he came in year's ago...
