2024/25 David Moyes

I don't understand this bit, when was day 1 for TFG? The takeover was only completed mid-December so we're pretty close to day 1 no?
If Moyes was their number one choice to take us forward, they would have sacked Dyche on the day the deal was completed, ie a month ago. They wouldn't have waited for him to effectively throw the towel in.

DM does not suffer fools - the only thing he did do was play players out of position - on the wing even Jack Rodwell - he did give yoiuth players a chance though .... Vaughn Cheebs , Rodwell etc plus Rooney etc

On Moyes, I've often said of his tenure here that if I could go back in time and be told the 11 years we had under him would I take it, I'd have said no.
What's the other side of that coin though? Total blind faith that we'll win something?

If the offer was 2002-2013 of Moyes Everton (no trophies) vs. 1990-2001 Everton (1 trophy) then I know which one I'm picking. It sure as hell ain't an FA Cup win bookended by a decade of absolute dross.

Are you joking? A slow start Moyes season would be one of our best starts in the last 6 years apart from the Carlo year. We were generally 12/13 and the went on a second half surge up to 5/6/7 with champions league form for the second half. Not sure why you think there is more pressure in the first half of a season than the second.
There is ALWAYS more pressure on at the start of a season when achieving the objectives of the season are possible. In many of Moyes's seasons, we were tipped to challenge for the Champions League places. There was an expectation that the side would drive on and challenge the top four. But that objective was often blown up within two months due to a slow start. Then, with no hope of making the top four, the pressure was gone and we were great for going on runs to sixth or seventh.

Yes, that's better than the last few seasons - but that will not be the comparator when money is spent at this club.

¡Come on feel the Moyes!

I don't think that has anything to do with pressure at all.

Was the 3rd period between 2013-2024 after him better, a clear no.

Maybe, but you are assuming Moyes was just willing to agree to their terms and manage the team. He may have needed convincing, and TFG may have wanted to get him on a lesser deal, then eventually caved.

Weird how often it worked though.

I remember us schooling O Neil’s Villa team in the cup. They had Petrov Milner Young (when he was young!) Downing Barry Carew etc. They were smack in form

We had Neville Rodwell in midfield with Arteta at 10, Cahill striker, Anichebe one side, Gosling the other. We conceded first I think and then we just pummeled them.

Arteta was brilliant back then, they couldn’t touch him. He was a massive loss when he did his knee that year.
