Not a comment on Moyes but I feel like I watched a different game to some people here, I thought we were absolutely dreadful.

To be fair watching Mykolenko cross the halfway line several time was too exciting for me to worry about the several goals we nearly gifted Villa

Needs to get Doucoure out that team by any means necessary. He’s not the only one who needs punting obviously but he is an absolutely shocking footballer. Punt Dom as well and play one of the kids if you have to, his heads gone.

Thought there was plenty of effort, little quality.
Didn't feel that impressed by villa either to be honest but they had miles more quality all over the pitch.
Only plus pionts was we had a bit more possession and made a few chances for a change.

I think it played out about as I expected, Im happy with the performance considering the circumstances. Just a few days, and the team showed promise despite not a single player changing. Dead even on shots, shots on goal, possession, and the difference being a gift of a back pass vs a penalty not given(or DCL not finishing).

Its a solid start, but now they need to build on it. A win will be needed in one of the next 2 matches.

Beto is a better partner for DCL.

He was spot on for me, he mentioned that the players tried their best. It’s not a Moyes team tonight because he’s only been here a few days. However, it will be a Moyes team in a few weeks when he’s had some time to implement his ideas.

If you didn’t know Moyes was in the dugout you’d have thought Dyche was still manager! Same team, same subs, pretty much everything was the same!
