You can change a team without changing the lineup. It’s not as simple as going in and swapping out players like parts in a broken down fridge. You can have them operate differently, occupy different spaces, etc.

This all day. If you absolutely have to play Doucourre, put him wide right so he can overpower their left back, in last nights case Digne. Diagonal balls over to Doucourre all night would have been more effective than straight down Mings throat all night.

It's not about the manager. Some overly attribute everything to the manager.

I'll say the same under Moyes as I did under the two managers before him.

It's about Everton having terrible footballers, who can't score enough which dictates relegation scrap.

It's about this Everton team needing big investment/recruitment to move us away from perennial relegation scraps.

The latest Everton manager is saying what should be obvious. We need players/some quality in the final third. And it is obvious, even if you still can't see it.

We do need players, but you can also get more out of players with a better manager.

Just last night we saw Mykolenko play the best he's done all season, get forward more, and actually ping some crosses in. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Players like Jacob Murphy and Dan Burn at Newcastle are trash but Howe is a good coach and improving them.

He won’t play young players so can’t see Dixon or Armstrong getting much time. Patterson might, he’s too old to be classed as a youngster by the Moyesiah!
