2024/25 David Moyes

He took the champions of England by 11 points the previous season and finished 7th and 25 points worse off the next season.

They've been created since. A giant of world football.

That'll be Moyes' managerial legacy.

I think it is more nuanced than that, and you know it.

And Paul Merson said Moyes is a sideways move from Dycheball.. is he heck
Its fantastic news that he did say this, as its certain that he is wrong. I really don't know how he's still got a job as a pundit, the amount of rubbish he comes out with. I don't think even he knows what he's going to say before he speaks!

Interesting to note how close the midfield was to Dom yesterday.

All season he's been isolated on his own with hardly any support.

Take the first goal as an example, its an 8 yard pass from Gana but he also has six other players forward and supporting.

This is where we will bare fruit...bodies forward and having options instead of just hoping Ndiaye or Dom can do it on their own.
One thing we saw from the Jurassic period was that a forward for Dyche may as well just stay at home and not bother jogging around the opposiitons half on their own.

Glad we got the win and didn’t get a sucker punch for an equaliser. Confidence is absolutely vital and especially for a new manager to get the first win.

We need players in this window.

O'Brien stepped in and did well enough, but we dont have anything like a PL player at the club in the position.

We need a goal scorer. One goal in 18 games for Calvert-Lewin and he's coming out with stuff post match like "I'm just glad I was able to play my part in the win"...as if it's job done for the remainder of the season.

In the recent past we could have got Spence and Wood for about £20m the pair.

Criminal recruitment at this club. Fans have more idea than the scouting system and DoF.

He did well yesterday.

This is where a change of manager was needed simply to freshen things up.

Dyche was switching to a back 3/5 before he was sacked seemingly but that would've just meant Young still at RWB and Keane coming back into the team so seeing O'Brien finally trusted to start a prem game was pleasing and he didn't let anyone down.

Also a scandal that Ndiaye was never tried central at any point this season. The second goal tells you all of what he's capable of from central areas in the right game situation, can see him in a Cahill type position working well in some of the tricky away games left as he'll get space to run into.

Harrison dropped aswell, happy days.

I don’t do predictions sozza man.

We beat a terrible team at Goodison yesterday, won’t go overboard myself, they were a shipwreck.
I hear you Chic's...

I got it HORRIBLY wrong on the opening day when Brighton tore us a new one in the return fixture at Goodison.
I said: Who's this 32-year-old mommy's boy, coming in from a second tier German side? It's his debut match in arguably the toughest football league in the world, we have home advantage, AND Dyche, being almost twice his age, should have enough experience to see this one through!

Schooled by a young lad, who's mar was probably waiting outside the ground to pick him up after the game. FFS!

Based on that, I shouldn't be making another prediction, but I think Moyes is well aware of 'Fab' Fabian's reputation at this point, and is going to mix it up and surprise everyone next weekend with a shock result! I'm nailing my flag to the mast, mate! You can feel free to vault me afterwards if I get it horribly wrong again.
😜

Brighton 2-0 Everton
At least you've got the bollocks to make a prediction, lad! ;)

Misery an fume is the only place they call home.

Sad really not to allow yourself a bit of joy.
Honestly, I think some lads get turned on by fuming... Like sexually, if you know what I mean.

Having an 'angry fap' does it for them. 🫢

Nonsense, sunderland were a mess, utd were aging, fergie was a step above everyone, sociedad i believe were also mess. The contribution to each club were of their own doing mostly like everton in fact
Yeah, it was always someone else's fault. The Kopite of football management.
