2024/25 David Moyes

The media is all about how poor Spurs were, can't give Moyes the props for changing it up and trying to actually win. It's sad the way the game has gone in this country where 14 teams in the top flight just don't matter, we are there to make up the numbers.
We ha e never been called a crap side on mass in the media all season as much as Sunday. People foaming at the mouth about how crap we are.

Should have kept losing and they would have left us alone.

It's contrarianism, if the club had picked em up for a few mill as prospects the argument would shift to talent spotting youth prospects and getting them into the youth setup for free.

Never let the facts get in the way of twisting a story into a perverse knock at the club. It's funny because there's plenty of low hanging fruit to go after already without inventing even more.

Some people are only happy when it rains.
Yeah, lots of things to knock the club for instead of making up fake valuations. Even before Forest bought wood, he was previously sold for £25m.

Got to give him credit, picking a centre back at right back is the kind of decision that if we play badly and result goes against us manager gets absolutely slated for. Just getting the players higher up the pitch. Trying the pass into midfield when it was on. Getting players around DCL.
Obrien wasn’t at rb, he was the right sided wide cb of the three.

Lindstrom was the defensive winger/rwb.

It was a great shape for the players available, I agree there, very fluid and dynamic.

The bold was key, linked to a great collective team press - it was night and day to the miracle workers

Does it matter? It's still £20M for the pair.
Well it’s not is it.

As Spence would have be £20m alone. And DCL has a value (which whether you agree or not, his market value in transfermarkt is currently £20m). Which means the cost is considerably more than £20m for the pair.

It doesn’t really matter though, so continue making up fantasy (undervalue) fees and then getting annoyed when it inevitably doesn’t happen as if it’s just poor recruitment by the club.

It's a massive rebuilding job here.

I hope Moyes - if he stays on - is busy lining players up. I think he relies on McKinlay to do his decision making on that, so the likes of Thelwell might even need to go.

This is a big reason for me why I'm happy with Moyes being the manager, even though in principle I'd have preferred a younger manager with a higher ceiling and all that.

If there's one thing he's shown at all the clubs in which he has at least a couple of years, he leaves the squad in a much better place than how he finds it.

Also, it's anybody's guess if Thelwell will stay, but you look at yesterday, Ndiaye, O'Brien and Lindstrom were our best players and they were all brought in for relatively decent fees. Imagine if the latter two had actually been given more of a chance so far this season?
