2024/25 David Moyes

Moves is different. He's not scared of player power, playing favourites etc. See his interview about DCL needing tough love... not kissing his arse. Changing the rb and dropping Young. Big problems right now with a thin squad and injuries but in the medium term I believe he will improve us
I agree that's one Moyes strongest tools , keeping millionaires motivated and wanting to play for this club.

"No positives whatsoever. Mugged by the unflushable turd that is Everton. Wish they’d just go down and the stink they cause would go away"

"We don't have to play Everton at home again for at least 7 months"

"This, nothing else, poor team selection, poor tactics, below par performances and a general lack of imagination, Everton being shithouse is not an excuse."

"Yes. Everton’s tactics were mainly responsible for turning it into a horrible and frustrating watch.

At some point despite the cynical timewasting, people have to acknowledge that Everton’s defending and low block was magnificent today. One of the best defensive performances at the Amex this season. They made sure that we didn’t get any big chances at all"
Poor loves go and cry in your beach huts.

Perception is an interesting thing isn't it, I'm not necessarily criticsing Davey as id be known as one of his biggest fan boys on here historically and cotemporally, but there are times we have gone to a back five or even a back 6 in the last couple of games.

Imagine if Dyche had done that.

Interesting just to compare and contrast perception and attitudes.

Im not saying that to start who is the better manager thing - i personally think Moyes is one the greatest PL manager of all time, just behind Ferguson and Wenger. He is a better manager then Dyche to be clear.
Difference between Dyche and Moyes, although they are both known to overload on defenders, the key difference is we still concedes dangerous chances under Dyche, while Moyes defence clearly restrict opponent to long shots and clear cut chances are rare.

They know they are Brighton don't they?

They've only been in the division for about 8 years and have had to invent a rivalry with Crystal Palace for anyone to pay attention to them.

Got a whiney spoilt brat as a coach to suit their whiney brat fans

I loved Davey and the teams he built here during the first 11 years he was here. I was gutted when he left for Man.U, but I understood his reasons for going and wished him well.

I then lost all respect for him with the sneaky Baines/Fellaini stuff. It was disrespectful. Add in the not allowing Howard to attend FF, and I rejoiced at his failings at Man.U, Sociedad and Sunderland. He looked washed up and I thought serves him right. I baulked every time he was linked with a return to us. He then went to West Ham twice and did well while we became a basket case.

When West Ham let him go, I found myself warming to the idea of him coming back to us. Call it nostalgia or the fact that we'd fallen so far, but I really hoped that somehow it could happen.

He made it clear over the past years that he had a great deal of affection for the club and you know, the older you get in life, the more you realise it's better to hold onto and cherish the good times rather than dwell on the not so good things, so I forgave him for those mistakes he made. He's human FFS.

All things said and done, he's a bloody good manager, vastly experienced, and an Everton man. I knew given time, he'd restore positivty and an identity to the club, something which we haven't associated with Everton for a long time.

The fact that he's already made strides to achieving that, mixed in with the mutual affection between him and the majority of Evertonians, has made me start to fall back in love with my Everton again, and that is effing priceless.

Maybe if they stop losing at home to us all the time we’ll go down.
