2024/25 David Moyes

all the pundits saying "he won't have agreed to go back to everton with some kind of guarantee of signings in january"

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA

In 15 minutes that's been obliterated by the most embarrassing climbdown press conference in the club's history where transfers are concerned.

Forget that...right now he is standing guard over another Everton owner determined not to spend cash on players.

Moyes is a company man...always has been and always will be.

Moyes is a Moyes man.

I think you're misreading this one mate.

In my view, Moyes isn't going to be a human shield for TFG.

Why would he?

There's a very clear correlation between amount spent, and expectation - fan and owner.

If we spent £100m now, and finished 16th.

If we spend £0 now, and finish 16th.

The second would clearly be more impressive.

If we didn't spend a bean this window, I'd say it's on Moyes. Rather than TFG. Didn't Bobble post on here Nuamah would be an Everton player now if Dyche was still here?

Moyes is the best I've ever known at managing his PR. If others benefit from that, it's coincidental.

"We'll maybe hopefully bring in some players but they wont be the ones I want".

FFS, that's a tonic for the troops right there.

Maybe go and demand some cash from the Texans then eh ginger plumbs?
It's not how it works, though. We can't spend because of psr. Not because they won't spend.

If they turn round in the summer and say there's no cash, then we are in trouble. But until then, we are constrained by the premier leagues glass ceiling.

I love you mate, you know that. But you are an utterly clueless biff over Everton.
Wishing and willing for a better Everton doesn't make me clueless.

Sure I could continue to adopt the "We are screwed" attitude, cos we really are screwed, but why? Life is hard enough.

We will get some players in, cos the alternative doesn't make me happy.

If Monday comes and we do nothing, then I will be unhappy, but why be unhappy before Monday?

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
The same "expert" pundits who say Dyche is an excellent manager, did a superb job, and the fans were in shock at his sacking?! Why anyone gives these oxygen-wasting morons the time of day is beyond me.

Maybe you're right, and when he was down beat over the quality or type of players he still 'might' turn to then he's preparing the ground so we all dont say "well, he had players bought for him in January, it;s don to his management where still in the thick of this" by Easter.

I'm not sure about your theory though. I think he looked a bit shell shocked there.
