2024/25 David Moyes

Let’s be honest though we were playing a Spurs reserve side obliterated by injuries. Really good first half but second half nearly shot ourselves in the foot.

I’m made up with the three points but let’s see how we do against an in form Brighton. Go there and get points as the previous guy did and I’ll be more confident in our ability to get the points we need to move clear of the bottom.
"During his time at the club, Dyche picked up 26 wins from 83 games, suffering 33 losses."

Yes Chico; the previous guy.

Thanks for the coloured writing pal. So yes hopefully a superior Moyes should be able to go get something. I’m not expecting anything there so even a really good performance that gives me hope we can carry momentum and gain points in easier games will do.

The media is all about how poor Spurs were, can't give Moyes the props for changing it up and trying to actually win. It's sad the way the game has gone in this country where 14 teams in the top flight just don't matter, we are there to make up the numbers.
To be fair - we kind of are until we compete.

Moyes got the same treatment last time around - not much has changed apart from we now have PSR to keep us in our place too.

People forget due to the post-Man Utd memeing of Moyes, but before he went there he was seen as one of the best managers in the game.

Somehow due to that blunder he got lumped in with the Pulis types, etc. Even during his successful period at West Ham the stench wasn’t completely eradicated.

This club is a much better platform given its status as a true fallen giant. Everton has a higher ceiling and he’s joining at a very good time given how there is now positivity back around the place.
United
Real Sociedad
Sunderland

He;s killed three football clubs.

Was annoying how they put Carragher on our matches. He is so strained when talking positively about us. He tried to make the joke (twice) about 'How bad are Spurs if Everton are creating chances against them'.

Well, yes, that may have had relevance if we had not got a new manager in and how about being professional and doing the job you are paid to do and analysing the performance of both teams.

It took around the 70th minute for the commentator to mention that Moyes might have made a difference to the way we play and only then it was a token 5 second comment.

Not sure it is as easy as that, you can do better than that.

United, was a poisoned job from the start. He did try to change too much too early and I think that was his main error but he was always on a hiding to nothing.

Sunderland were on their way down, maybe didn't do a great job but it is a push to say he killed them. They were run shoddily as the documentary showed.

Real Sociedad, no idea on their situation then or now so can't comment.

Course he did mate, course he did.

Put your tinfoil hat back on, and prepare yourself for Bonny Prince Patto playing many more minutes for the toffees.
10 minutes on the pitch for one his 'world class cameos'...and almost scored an own goal.

Moyes played a CB at RB.

Thats Benitez, Ferguson, Lampard, Dyche and now Moyes who dont want his chaos in the first team.

He took the champions of England by 11 points the previous season and finished 7th and 25 points worse off the next season.

They've been created since. A giant of world football.

That'll be Moyes' managerial legacy.
