I'm afraid we will miss him next season.

Please BK... be aspiring...and pick the right one.

sad day for everton. but beginning of something new

cheers for the memories, he saved us

...but we made him (regardless of how the media will portray it)

lets bring the nil satis nisi optimum back to everton now

Wish him all the best, I've give him stick over the years, but you can't fault what the man has achieved overall.

I just wish he wasn't leaving now seeing the list of names being drawn up for his replacement.

Nice bit of respect for out going manager, who like it or not turned us from relegation candidates to European contenders.

Amazed by some of the comments.

Go and play your football manager games where you win the league with Everton and sign Messi and Ronaldo, because thats real life an all.

Saha off, Distin on.

Play to win the FM types.

For putting this club on a steady path where we are not relagation battlers, I thank you Mr Moyes.
For leaving to go to another club, I could not care less what you do from now on.

Thank god he has gone, that negative football is draining to watch.

Doing well against Chelsea, lets bang a defender on. Oh we lost. Shocker.

MOYES OUT!!

Disciplinarian and hard worker (which we needed after the clown Smith); but he hung around like a bad smell after his efforts to put a team together were flushed away in the summer of 2009 and the failure to secure more funds and the firesale that took place thereafter. He was marking time from that point on and content with respectability. He had no stomach for the battle with the board that needed to be had (and still meeds to be had). He was marking time here as a cantankerous, uninspired, plodder with a safe pair of hands.

All in all, we're now well shut. If he does well at United I'll be astounded. He wont know what's hit him there. If he couldn't handle expectation here he's going to be annihilated there.

Bit disappointed he didn't give young'uns a run out today... RS started a 17 year old, Chelsea started an 18 year old. But Moyes was a bit too focused on getting that 'record points' on his CV... I don't know, I guess I am a little bitter that he's going. Oh well.

"Determined to go out as an Everton record breaker".... headline sums it up for me. I'm clutching at straws I know.
