My problem was more persisting with older players who aren't gonna be good enough for the first team. Your Garbutts and McAleny's of the world. There's only 11 places in the first team and player development is more important than winning youth trophies.….i wouldn’t particularly defend Unsworth but I think that’s a bit of a lazy statement, if players are not coming through a change of U23 coach is unlikely to resolve the situation.
