You act like you don't respect Ajax but 95% of the rest of the football world do (they're not Darlington, which they seem to be according to you!). Koeman has won 3 titles in a major league like Holland, and two main national cups, in two different countries. What recent manager (apart from RM and his fluky 'get Wigan relegated but won the FA Cup') has done that? He is the best manager we've had for a while and fits in with the 'let's achieve' instead of being 'also-rans' mentality we need to get to. Klaassen is clearly a winner in Koeman's mould. He's produced not just last season, but the season before too. He is a driving force, someone his teammates will appreciate. He will be good defensively and good offensively and he will fight for the cause for 90 minutes, he also reads the game superbly and I believe in Koeman's judgment (and my own). He won't sink or swim either, but he will slowly prove himself as someone who helps raise Everton into top 4 contenders while he's here.
Saying he'll be an appalling waste of cash or a big hit, is pure fence-sitting and back-tracking, it's more like I said, he will help us turn into winners more often than not and keep us competitive in games both home and especially away (which we weren't last season, even if he doesn't score 14+ goals in a season in the PL).
