Decent bars in/around town centre

We used to go into the Curzon club, in Temple Lane, we had no idea that it was actually a very discreet gay club lol
Used to be one down one of the side streets of Thithebarn called ‘Jupiters’ near Ye Hole in Ye Wall, not sure if it’s still there.

If you went in during the day, you’d think it was a regular boozer at first glance. Went in there once with some work mates and one of the older fellas with us really liked the place.

Apparently took all his mates there on the Friday night not realising it was a gay bar, claiming he’d found “this cracking little boozer right out of the way” and bounced in there with the boys right in the middle of a drag Queen act doing a dance act routine with a load of oiled up, muscle-bound backup dancers lol

Dead crafty is a cracking boozer especially if your into that type of Beer , even if you aren’t it’s really decent . As you say Along Ship & mitre is recommended and along Dale street the Excelsior is an old school boozer and even the Angus isn’t too bad . I’d always recommend the Denbigh just off on Hackins Hey because it’s a proper pub and owned by Evertonians , decent pint and good service

I know @COYBL25 recommends the Baltic Market , few years ago I was of a similar mind . Post covid I think it’s a bit concert square but just my opinion, also you’ll be overpaying . That said bongos bingo is always a great experience.

On Hannover Street and now on the bottom of bold street the two German Albert pubs , Albert Schloss (the big one on bold ) and Schenke on Hannover . Not too expensive, nice interiors , mixed crowds and service is ok.

As always in my opinion the Bridewell is up there as the best pub in town , always busy but no waiting . @Barnfred 55 will highly recommend I’m sure .

Loads of decent places mate , really depends what you’re looking for .
Thought it was a bit on the expensive side personally :) Actually it's a boss place, boss owners, boss staff, boss beers and, whenever I've been there, boss clientele too.

Dead Crafty is a new one on me. Where about's on Dale Street is it?

The end where the flyover was , opposite where the magistrates court where . If you nip up one of those streets on Victoria , either Preston or Manchester St I think it’s on the corner . Nice little independent place .

I’ve not bothered since the Krazy House shut down tbh. Disappointed at the lack of Lisbon shouts though.
Every so often I'll have a little street view wander on Google maps went to look at the K during a wander around town. Saw it was a titty bar and was really intrigued. Is it 3 floors of clung? Is it set up like the K where the girls are sweatier and smellier the lower the floor?

The one line of business that could somehow make the floors MORE sticky.

Edit: As a hardcore K1er I should be upset. But I can’t really argue.

The Lisbon obviously.

Ship & Mitre, Denbigh Castle .... There are a couple of small ones on Castle Street as well. The Sanctuary Tap if there isn't a load of you is a nice pint. Stay away from Slater/Wood st and Mathew St.
