I just cannot see any substance in this ,price ,location ,our manager and form are all against Farhad stumping up for this guy ,he is another Barkley and has no wish to play for us that is a prerequisite for Carlo .

He's 24.

He's scored 50 league goals in 159 league appearances.

We currently have Andre Gomes, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies battling it out for a spec in central midfield.

Loan/option to buy would be great. Just can't see Spurs allowing it.

Yep. He'll want to ship him off abroad or down the lower end of the league.

Unless we pay a bomb for him, can't see it ever happening.

Could be a good move for us and him. His stats are great up until a few injuries and working with Mourinho. If anyone can get him performing again it is probably Ancelotti, he is still young, fits in the age range of DCL, Richarlison, Holgate, Godfrey, Pickford and Iwobi and I think he would work in our side behind the striker.

The big downside is he seems a bit of a tit, but wouldn't care if he gets back to his old form.

Sure, he plays further forward but with Doucoure and Allan behind him, he can.

He has also played central midfield loads of times.

If we signed him to play as a split striker just off DCL then he would probably get us a fair few goals, but it’d also mean we’re massively top-heavy and unbalanced with Richarlison and James basically being forwards too. Alli is definitely more of a forward than a midfielder, he doesn’t have a great range of passing and contributes pretty much nothing defensively. Was badly exposed at the World Cup when England played him in midfield.

I would be very happy with the loan deal, but I don't believe we would be offered it. They will want far too much money for someone who has not performed in a long time. He has the ability to be an extremely good goalscoring midfielder, but pay a high fee for him is pretty high risk and I'd rather look elsewhere.
