I do not like that when written down at all.

I think this is my main concern to be honest, even more so than the high wages, potential attitude issues, massive drop off in output, etc.

I just don't think he has a position in the modern game. We saw him in midfield early this season, and it wasn't pretty. He always did his best work in a free role up front, but it only worked because Eriksen and Dembele were controlling the game. If he is in the hole in 4231 with Gray and Richy wide then he becomes responsible for playmaking duties, and we still have the issue of two central midfielders. If him and VDB are in dual #8 roles, then that's not defensive enough unless you have an absolute monster DM. We don't have that player or a deep lying playmaker. Maybe once Lampard can bring in a DM and CB that he wants it will work.

Fronk likes him as well, and in terms of how Alli is as a player, Fronk is perfect for him. Could be a massive win for Everton this.

Yeah I see him potentially in the front line, drifting between the wing and number 10. He’s not a midfielder in my view.

In pure positional sense we need a player that plays where he does. Richy and DCL are up front.. We need someone in that gap in the number 10 role.. If he delivers even better.. but deffo need a player of his ilk in the side.

He’s been really really bad for 4 years. This is the closest thing to the signing of Iwobi. For some reason people now think he will suddenly become good again. He won’t.

He was good when he was 18 that was 7 years ago
