A big if - mental illness is a long term thing sad but true - I should know - maybe hopefully if he gets the help he needs - but playing him ATM is a costly gamble for a team who are skint .....

I feel like it would be in everyone's best interests, especially Dele's if he was released by Everton on a free so he can drop down to the Championship where he may be able to get a good run of games and would have the potential to excel. Surely he could accept the drop in wages to be able to concentrate on his mental health and hopefully get his career bank on track.
If he stays at Everton, even if he gets back in to the first team, the pressure on him would be far higher than if he was playing for a lower league team.
I hope whatever he ends up doing, he gets the help and the peace that he needs.

What a shame. A beautiful footballer with all the skills god could give him has lost his way. The skill is still there but there has to be something wrong in his head. I really hope the lad can sort himself out…..
