Watched his interview and he comes across as a decent lad that has had some awful things happen in his life that have led him to be in the position he's been in. I don't think anybody who hasn't gone through what he has could even comprehend what it's been like for him. I for one hope he makes it back to the levels he was a few years ago and that he does it for us. Whether he'll get a chance is yet to be seen but he speaks glowingly of the club and the manager for how they've been really understanding over the last few months. Good luck to him.

When you hear what has happened to him, it's a miracle, he achieved what he has.

I'd love it if he got his life back on track, be that in football or something else. I doubt he'll ever get back the levels, he was at at Spurs when they were nearly winning things. But back being a good player would be a great achievement.

If he's capable and up to the required standard, just play him, refuse to pay Spurs alleging they knew of his addictions, let it drag through courts for a couple of years, then pay them when FFP isn't thing. the downfall to this plan is if the PL stop us playing him whilst making our case.
Spurs will argue it was our responsibility to uncover any issues during the medical.
Not their responsibility to dictate what we should and should not look for during the process.
Or they may deny all knowledge of the issues. Their lawyer would roll out the Amazon footage and say 'look, we just thought he couldn't be bothered.'
Honestly, take Spurs out of the equation and decide do we want him, costs and all. If not, let him go, but don't mess him around anymore, he deserves better than that.

It’s a shame for Dele Alli, feel bad about really slating him and just assuming the worst of him when nobody really had a clue what was going on.

Hopefully he can get back into his football but just doing the interview won’t finish the healing process.

he’s at the best club to support him.

i hope we play him and he can be the dele we know with his head right

Makes you wonder about the strength of character of some of the people we have at the top of the club, when this lad is willing to lay everything out on the table about his horrific upbringing to the whole world’s media, and yet Kevin Thelwell the DOF who’s actually a line manager is too scared to answer a few questions about transfers.

he’s at the best club to support him.

He's at an absolute car crash of a club in such a dire financial state that they seemingly can't afford a relatively modest payment due as part of his transfer agreement, a club that's hurtling towards a third successive relegation battle having survived the previous two seasons by the skin of our teeth, with our only signing so far a 38 year old journeyman. I can't think of a worse club for him to be at tbh.

See some family member has come forward disputing what he said and about his time I'm Africa
Iirc he only said he went back for 'discipline' which you can imagine being said to a kid 'with no rules'. Then said it was very different to what he was used to at that time. Can't see anything to disagree with tbh.
