…the reality is, it’d be exactly the same as paying £10m to loan a player for this season only, but in this case we’d be paying £10m (in addition to his mega wages) for a player with his issues.

You should apply for a job on this Board, Matey :bye:

Equally You could argue likewise for a place on the board mate, with the management of assets and investment - if your happy for an asset who could add value to sit around and not contribute.

Its not the reality really, its your opinion of an assumed reality, you cant liken it to a loan - hes here - we're committed its not discretionary we already pay 5 million - we need an attacking midfielder do we bring another + him - is that cost effective.....

We pay about 10 million in sacked managers and staff annually, we gave 3 directors £7.5 mill, in a golden handshake recently - will likely be a cool 10 mill when Bill goes. You can be as frugal as you like - but comparatively if Dele is deemed by the management team as being able to influence our results positively over a season - its a better use of money then anything else we can attract in the market for that money or in sacking managers or paying off the board. NEA.

I dont even understand why people get worked up about it - no one blinks an eye when managers are sacked, we sell a player at a loss or a free or we pay of the board - all are similar draws on our finances - 10's of multi millions. For some reason this 10 mill gets people worked up when other things are far more valid. I mean Yerry Mina, took 12 mill out of the club last season for about what 6-7 games. Gomes 10 mill for none. Gbamin about 8 mill. etc. Im not going to stress about 10 mill for Alli if hes good enough to play 7 games for us and if he is - wel have a player.

He did the math.

Respect the hustle.

He’s quite literally said people “aren’t arsed” about the fact we have players like Gbamin and Gomes draining money out the club (they deffo are arsed), complained about Mina apparently stealing £12m from the club for only 7 games last season and then gone on to advocate paying £10m for Alli to play 7 games.

If he plays i think 7 more games we activate the 10mil, play him 6 times and see how he goes it might be the best 10 mil we've ever spent.

I think its a win win with him.
It really is that simple - if he plays six games and we think he’s good then we pay for another 20, if not, we lost nothing because we’re paying his wages anyway whether he kicks a ball or not

People are always like SACK HIM, CANCEL HIS CONTRACT, PAY HIM OFF to various players and managers, hell even people saying stuff like give "Yerry Carthorse 70k a week to come back", but when it comes to paying for a "World Class Talent", we suddenly cant afford it.

??!?!?!

For 45 minutes against Palace, Dele Alli put in a better performance than many of our midfielders while he was midway through a drug induced snooze.

Give the boy a chance.

If we continue to rely on Doucoure as our creative midfielder, it will cost us a hell of a lot more than £20m
