Obviously Levy is never ever going to agree to something that would benefit us or the player and do him out of a few pennies.
It hasn't done him out of pennies thats the point. If we'd gone to him and said you're never getting 10 mil because we just won't pick him if thats the case but we'll give you 2 mil to get rid of the clause then he'd be 2 mil better off than he is now so he'd have been stupid to turn it down. We could have loaned him again if that was an issue anyway theres no way the player is going to have agreed to pretend to be injured for 14 months if he's fine because that will affect any future contract he gets it just doesn't make sense at all its much more likely that a player who hasn't looked after his body at all really has been out injured.

It's not all about on the pitch Degsy, no one worked that treatment table harder this season. He took it to the max and I feel it should be recognised.

Levy saved about £15M just getting Dele off Spurs wage bill and dumping him on to us and we’ve paid those wages with next to nothing in return. Dele is now a free agent or he will be in July, it is up to him what he wants to do now, he can get fit and earn himself a new contract elsewhere if he is willing enough to get properly fit and use it with the natural football ability he was born with. Maybe he has got used to becoming a very rich man doing nothing, time will tell, the only losers are Everton FC thanks to the man who negotiated the contract with Levy and he is now gone.
