Why does it? They are literally going to be replacements for Bernard (who’s linked with a move away) and Iwobi. Back end of last season we were throwing extra keepers and kids on the bench to cover injuries

I dont know how some coped through the Kenwright/Moyes years.

The reality is we need a year of posting a profit on the books before realistically being able to spend a bigger wad next season.

Getting big wages off the books like Benard, Delph, Toshun, Iwobi and Soggy is essential before we can rebuild with most of those out of contract next summer. Kean being sold would also likely open doors for us to spend a bit more cash this summer if that can happen with PSG.

As I posted earlier Townsend has better stats than both Iwobi & Benard combined and Gray is full of pace and a punt well worth at £1.5 million providing he's a squad player.

You have to judge the club more on the business in terms of players coming into the starting 11 not the squad.

Dumfries looks a goer, rumours bubbling about Coutinho - lets wait and see what happens.

I think this is spot on, we’ve over paid for years, have very poor options available from the bench, if it adds pace, which we badly need, I’d say go. The I think either have end product apart from the odd 25 yarder once in a blue moon
