What you see, this is him and the story of his career tbh, 3 of his goals were in his first 5 games for us and he has only scored 5 in total. His is just a very, very inconsistent player. He is a squad player not a starter going forward for me.
Also probably suits a more Counter attacking style, where he has loads of space to run into. And doesn’t have to think to much, not sure he will ever be good enough in a team that wants to keep possession. Keeping the ball in tight areas, moving it quickly, making the correct passes.

He’s not the only one, most of this squad won’t cope in the style lampard wants

Watch that Leicester season when they won the league. Albrighton was superb.
Mate he’s not superb. If he was he’d have England caps at least or he would have been sold like, kante marhez. Even drinkwater went for 35mil

All players part of a league win. Are going to be legends forever. They finished 12th the following season and he played nearly every game.

Just go and look and some of our players that won title medals in 87. Or any team that wins the league. They all have a journeyman or two

I mean, our entire team is inconsistent, that's why we're 17th. He's as good and bad as everyone else this season.

I think the whole team was playing with the ball like it was a hot potato. They probably need to relax a bit, and be a bit more patient.

Be interesting to see them at the weekend mate when the pressure of the league is off.

Honestly think we’re missing Gylfi, or a playmaker really, it’s getting the ball between the lines in general pocession that’s difficult. We have Gomes, but can’t rely on him, while VDB can be hit or miss, Dele is more get on the end of things.

I'm talking about him not the team, he has always been this way and always will be imo, he is that sort of player. There is a vague chance in the known universe (somewhere out there I hope) that we might actually one day sort out our recruitment and sign players who will perform week in week out and could produce a watchable team again.

Probably not for a while, there's a reason these are the sort of players we buy.
