If we sell him and take away his 5 goals from last season that will put our total goals for the season to about 6.

If we could sell for decent money and replace with better yeah sure, but I'd rather be bringing players in before we weaken ourselves further

Can his contribution be replaced by a loan signing perhaps

Not disagreeing that we could do better but he scored a worldie from open play against city. I'd like someone with his pace that isn't as predictable and had a bit more end product though.

Why do we need a wide attacker?

The positioning and defensive responsibility McNeil and Iwobi have had since Dyche came in are similar to wing backs in other teams. It is more defensive than what we have seen from Chilwell, Peresic, Porro, James etc. Dyche does not play with wide attackers. Never has.

He signed and had success with Aaron Lennon when he now longer had offensive output. He signed Maxwel Cornet that had impressed as a winger and wing-back for Lyon, but mostly used him as a centre forward.

I think we scored 37 in the whole season
I think taking his 4 goals out of the equation would currently make us far far weaker.

He hasn't played much this calendar year. When he was put into the side as a lone attacker our results were considerably better than when he wasn't in the side.

Just feel like the club are popcorning us now thinking how many forwards can we sell without replacing before the supporters really kick off. If we get someone in fine but I wouldn't be selling until late into the window and we know how things have shaken out.

Plus we need players to be able to bring on off the bench. Gray would reasonably fit the bill if Dyche allowed it to.

Dyche clearly doesn’t rate him so no point him sticking around. Good one for the financial regs too as we’ll turn a good profit if we sell him for almost any fee.
