I think they had different agendas. Sven wanted a striker who would guarantee 20 goals per season and he had money to spend. And maybe Leicester didn't get him because we came in for him? If we've been watching him since April, then we should have a fair idea of what to expect.

Very true. United didn't fancy Beardsley or Platt early on in their careers. I'm sure there's some daft story about an English club deciding against someone like Maradona or Pele too. It's all subjective.
yes there will be loads we we supposed to have been offerd Ruud Gullit for next to nothing as a young player and didnt take it up, i will wait and see him before writing him off, just got a feeling he will be raw but have something about him, coming from a poor background and no big move before this, so not a lot to fall back on he will be hungry to do well.

If he roughs up defenders that will atleast be something. Vic gets the spirit knocked out of him too easily. I'm not expecting too much though. Baines aside, we don't deliver a lot of quality into the box, so he's probably not even going to see much of the ball.

Exactly how many of this obscure signings has Moyes signed now and farmed out to other clubs, the fact he signed on transfer deadline puts the spotlight on him.
