Transfer Rumour Denzel Dumfries

I dunno mate. I've heard moshiri will be travelling to the games on the back of shamoo. People will pay to see that. So there's an extra 10m. Also heard that Jason momoa will be an Everton fan. Heard it has good access from the river. King of the aqua people should mean his aqua subordinated also support us. So there's another 150m generated by supplying under water home kits.

I was just asked why i was laughing and had to explain this to someone lol

They also chuckled...double whammy ;)

My mate in Holland thinks Dumfries is absolute pony.........

Same fella told me Davy Klassen would be an absolute baller for us....

So welcome Denzel

Well, i said Klaasen was clearly going to flop...he had the technical attributes...

Dumfries has the physicality but not the technical...

Thats all we have to go on...

I just don't understand how? I understand how the stadium is a massive positive from Moshiri's perspective. It makes his asset massively more saleable. However, from a sporting perspective I can't see how the stadium substantially changes our prospects as a club. The revenue it will generate is small beer compared with TV revenues so we're not going to become much richer in terms of turnover. I guess you could argue that it will change the perception of our club globally but if the cost for that is a decade or more of treading water then I'm not convinced it is worth it, add to that the debt burden it will place on the club and I worry that this is yet another false dawn. For every Man City there is a Sunderland and Bolton.

…i wouldn’t pretend to understand the economics of it but I read an article recently by a renowned financier (ironically a Red) & he suggested the new stadium would see us leapfrog a number of clubs into the very top tier of high earning clubs.

Excellent. Glad it made you smile :) We all need that on a Monday Morning.

Interesting, would you mind linking the article, please?

Dumfries looked like he had it all in the euros. I for one would make my thing all sore if we sign him.

hope we get him. Depending on formation choice by Benitez i think for sure against the better teams we will set with 3 centre backs. Then we need someone like him do some lung bursting runs forward

Not sure I saw him cross the ball much. More running onto the end of stuff at the back post. Definite athlete yes, but does he have the craft to carve something out of a flat slow ball played behind him with two opposition players on top of him (which is the position our hapless midfield play most players into)

You don’t have that article do you mate, sounds an interesting read

What did you like about him ?
Powerful, direct, strong runner, goal threat plenty of technical ability for his role. I think he is the perfect modern wing back. Only seen him in the euros by the way. Just to add he is PSV captain so assume he has a good attitude.
