…i wouldn’t pretend to understand the economics of it but I read an article recently by a renowned financier (ironically a Red) & he suggested the new stadium would see us leapfrog a number of clubs into the very top tier of high earning clubs.

…I don’t think it related to ticket sales. This bloke was gushing at the investment opportunities, the site profile and clubs standing. He said he wished the Reds had done it.

If we were going to sign him, it should’ve been before the Euros.

I can’t see the value in signing him at a premium now, assuming his price is up £10m as reported.

At £15m, worth a punt. At £25-30m, the pressure is there that he needs to deliver.

Wasn't the rumours going round that he's got a release clause of about 15?

Fair enough.

I've never been myself but what I do know from a cousin who works for Virgin is that it's not geographically a tourism hotspot, it's more of a port location for the rich and famous.
