Seems like you referenced this in Dannys thread but you never answered so i'll ask again.

What was your point and how were you trying to prove it by asking about my upbringing?
 

my point was about the 'family unit'. when pressed i asked who it was that had taught you right from wrong respectively. that i felt you tried to brush my point aside by mentioning others besides immediate family led me to be a little more specific.

that you declined to answer and appeared to be suddenly very defensive about the point i was making led me to consider a multitude of possibilities regarding reasons for this.

My parents, and probably to a lesser extent other adults in my life, relatives, teachers, family friends etc etc. They all helped shape me to become who i am.

the method may have been a little crude, but, i believe i may have made the point i was trying for.

"Brush your point aside"? You asked who taught me right from wrong and i gave an honest answer. One which you would more than likely of got from any individual because i'm sure you realise that no kid is influenced by its parents and parents only. Other adults have affect as well, like i said. Just because an answer isn't the one you want because it doesnt fit in with the point you are trying to make doesnt mean i'm lying.

In Dannys case he probably could give a accurate answer because his kid is only 3 so therefor spent the majority of its life with its parents, learning from them.

In my case im an adult who has progressed through childhood with many different people influencing me so when you asked who those people were i answered. Problem came when you asked how much time they had spent with me each, i wasn't sure if you wanted me to draw a graph or what.

I was being slightly defensive yes because i didn't know where you were going or what point you were trying to prove. And given your past history of offensive accusations towards me i cant really be blamed for that especially considering your motive for these questions was not entirely clear.
 
Right fact is today there is a distinct lack of respect. Respect was earned and also enforced- that is what it comes down to and like it not RBJ et el teachers in 1977 DID NOT HAVE TO WEAR STAB VESTS TO TEACH!

i didnt suggest you were lying.

i appreciate that no child is influenced exclusively by its parents (except in extremes) i went on to ask about time scale, would you agree that due to a greater exposure to your parents over a greater time scale than anyone else that it is their examples, their morality that you learn most from?

if i had wanted a graph, i would have asked (and expected to get told to [Poor language removed])

thanks for confirming that you were being a little defensive, that you have mentioned previous "offensive accusations towards" yourself by me, i stand by them. you might not like it, but i like individuals that enable the likes of roy whiting to prowl the streets looking for prey a lot less.
