Discussion & help on depression & mental health related issues

Just thought I'd let you all know my boys battle got to much and I had to have him pts Wednesday. I've never ever felt pain like this I'm going through every emotion possible, my vet said it was the right thing to do as it was starting to effect him more and he would of got worse.

I'm so sorry to hear that Matty.

Man it's been a sh1te week on GOT hasn't it?

Makes sense. Individual decision. You'll know when you are ready.
they do . I had my dog put down last August and when the vets came the house he hobbled to me and let them put him out of his pain while I held him. Usually he would howl and cry at the sight of a vet. After 5 months of life without a dog I got another and he's the only thing keeping my head above water on the depression front . No matter how down I am he makes me know I've got something to live for . Matty will need time but hopefully he'll get another friend to give a great life too.

Stop it, you're making me blub !

This is more anxiety but does anyone else suffer with concentration? Like examples watching the tele , watch the match , talking to someone and listening ? My head spins with that much pointless stuff that I don't really need to worry or think about but I can't stop it ? Usually resulting in bad head aches as well . My mind is always on the go which impacts things I try and do . Even listening to a podcast in the gym I hardly know what I've listened to after it's finished because my mind can't switch off and is thinking about all other types of crap.

I'm on stuff pills for anxiety. But this won't stop . It's more annoying than anything .

Have you tried CBT mate? It helps you to try and stay " in the moment"

Yes have this from time to time. It's worse in stressful periods. I can perfectly read work related things but not relaxing books and such, watch sport (strangely enough it only affects watching football teams I'm invested in, not neutral teams)... My usual coping strategies: do something else, talk to somebody while doing stuff (like when you're getting a massage talk to the massage therapist; usually helps for me - obviously will not work for you since you also have it when talking to people), handkerchief, oh it also helps to do dangerous things that usually brings you right in the moment, sometimes powering through it can help (no surrender). Have more coping strategies but can't recall them at the moment.

Also could it not be a side effect of some of your medication?
