This is Everton mate, there's never going to be honesty to the fans

It is clear to me that the stadium is Mosh's top priority and if it comes off i think we would all be happy coz that can then lead to further improvements reguarding our fortunes but that will be years away

For the time being it's gonna be bargain hunting and scrimping and saving as much as we can
After this window (and if the news about continued borrowing that's broke today is right) I wont believe a word of any news about a stadium scheme. It'd have to come from a whole host of bodies like Peel, LCC and EFC making a joint declaration that a green light is being given to a new stadium for it to have any credibility. If it's just a statement from EFC I wont give it credence.

No we don't. Actions are far better than words thanks. If the stadium is a priority then they will only make announcements when they know for sure and anyway I don't want repeats of the last two stadium debacles.

Where Everton are concerned anytime i've expected an outcome to be below par it tends to end far worse than i ever expected.

You mean three debacles?? I'm going to forget the Kirkby Golf course one and focus on more recent debacles.

No Head wobbling or bed wetting here. Squad has improved and I expect it to keep improving from window to window.

I would like to see movement in the new stadium before the end of the season though as that is the Yard Stick we can guage Moshiris' reign on.

There's no shrieking or stamping of feet or ordering of planes flying banners. This is a thread to reflect on whether the communications opened up thus far by the new regime is sufficient or whether it's way short of where it needs to be. I'm saying in the light of a lame transfer window they need to open up to supporters and tell them what the plan and timeframe is.

The feelgood factor they've surfed on since arriving has evaporated, and I think I'm right to suggest (if the result of this poll so far is any indicator) the majority would like an explanation of what's just happened and the general script they are working to.

Fair enough; the honeymoon had to end sometime. But I don't see open dialogue happening anytime soon. Going on previous form, if we're lucky we might get a (very) broad strokes 'state of the union'/ 'queens speech' release...maybe at the AGM...when ever that will be...where future stuff is vaguely hinted at...if we're lucky.

It makes me laugh when I read statements on here from people who think that because EFC are privately owned they do not have to engage with the fans on the future of our football club.
Everton and any other football club for that matter would do well to remember that without the fans they are absolutely nothing, couldn't see any business in the world surviving without customers (term frequently used on here)

We have a rich history and deserve to be told exactly what the future plans are, for our club by Moshiri

I think we all know that the transfer window went west on us. There's no polishing this up to try and make it shine. Whether it was explicit or implicit, we were all left with the impression from the snippets the new guard left us that this would be a momentous summer in terms of player trading. And that's where this thread comes in.

The vision of where we are being taken by these people on and off the field remains very vague. There's been no attempt to spell out what the process is here; what the preferred running order is between squad investment and getting things right in terms of a new stadium and commercial improvements generally; what are the short to medium term objectives being set?

I've argued since Moshiri's arrival that we need a lot more detail from him regarding what is to come and what approximate timetable he is working to. If this had been done previously then the shock of the late summer inactivity in the market and the loss of confidence and credibility for him that goes with it could have been avoided. I dont see any lines of communication whatsoever being built up to bridge what the club are thinking and our understanding of it. The vacuum instead is filled by a narrative built up by the msm and well meaning bloggers which are repeated and become established as fact when they really are just wild speculation. Why should we have to put up with that communications hangover from the Kenwright era?

So, do we now need a big sit down between club and fans representatives or even Moshiri with a respected reporter for an in depth interview about what he's thinking?

Rubbish, got shut of blackmailing Porto, pulled out of getting knobhead let him go to Spurs. Only failure to me was Kone and DM would not play. The other signings will I think prove to be positive. You are always looking for some excuse to have a go at the Everton management, just like Strurgeon is continually looking for an excuse to have another Independence referendum.

Pathetic.

'Customers' currently is about right. Sky are already dubbing crowd noises over recordings of games, and its not too far a step for them to show games without any real fans present at all, just cardboard cut outs and fake sound. Its all about selling commercials and sponsorship for them and the giant broadcasters worldwide. Its all part of TV/movie 'entertainment'
Its all smoke and mirrors....a senior movie executive told me a few years ago that they already have the technology to create a fake Jack Nicholson , using a library of his movement and expressions . In fact Jack has signed contracts to make four films after he dies, one of them with Marilyn Monroe, and has done the sensible thing, and collected payment in advance.
Maybe we could re sign Peter Farrell and get Harry Catterick back as manager?;)
