Does the club need 'rebranding'? Something based around the new location?

Everton is the brand.... the new stadium is the potential partial rebrand.... the rest is pure fluff. Classic Davek.

Struggling badly here now. ^^^

The magical powers of the Mersey have been the reason we have a Liverpool in the first place. I'd have thought a seaman would have appreciated that.

Which therefore is inextricably linked to Liverpool too.... as is the term Merseyside. Thankyou, I knew we'd get there eventually!

Towns and cities form around natural resources.

Your view of history must be something like: "people in the 13th century decided to create the borough of Liverpool and chose the banks of the Mersey...then they discovered there was a river and that it could be used to trade on".

So you're now saying that the Mersey isn't inextricably linked with Liverpool, isn't synonymous with Liverpool.... ... because the river came first? Brilliant! Let's somehow rebrand our storied football club around this genius hypothesis.

Sort of makes you wonder why Fulham (Literally overhanging the Thames) haven't become London's main footballing brand because of it, doesnt it? Doh!
