Responsibility for our current predicament:

30% Silva
30% Brands
30% Players
10% Fans

Some fans will have you believe its 90% Silva, 10% players, 0% Brands.

Clutching. Desperately, for some sort of positive from the situation. It’s easy to scapegoat Silva and make everyone else blameless.

The problems run much deeper. If Silva goes, when Silva goes, these problems will manifest with someone else too.

I don't think we can judge Brands much either way but I've voted no based on the lack of a senior striker and no cover at centre back. Not convinced Delph will get through the work that Gueye did in this side either.

Reasonably so, the CB issue is a bit on a non starter for me, zouma had a great season and is now playing CL football with Chelsea. Mina is doing ok for me, not at fault for yesterday’s OG. Delph looks a good signing and Kean I’m sure will come good if we can get some decent service to him, and we were all pissing ourselves when we got Gomes for a steal.

The money for Gomes was about his price though due to his status at Barca.

The fans???? Christ on a bike lad...do they pick the team? Do they decide tactics? Do they identify players? You might have been on the right track about there being problems which go much deeper but why the did you leave our board off the list? The malaise starts from the top and permeates through the whole club

He made some mistakes in the summer for sure, and on deadline day I did have a small feeling of disappointment because I don't think we did all we needed to do, but at the end of the day we have more than enough quality in our squad to have beaten most of the teams we have played so far.

Our style of football is dire, very reminiscent of second and third season Martinez, all possession without a clue with what to do with it. His use of Sigurdsson as a second striker infuriates me and the fact we have gone back to conceding set pieces at the rate we have is a damning statement about Silva's ability to learn from mistakes.

So I voted 'yes' in the pole, I think we have the 7th best squad in the country and that's where I expect us to finish at minimum. If we don't, then Silva should be sacked.

I voted for both Yes and No, which seemed about right.

The previous summer was an 8/10, whereas this one, at least at the moment, was just a 6/10, mainly for the cock up on not bringing a centre back in.

You can't judge it properly yet though, and won't be able too until Gbamin is fit, and up to speed with the league.

Its a farce of a poll, 2 choices and multiple choice.

Farcical.
That doesn't make sense.

It is as fair as fair can be: one un-loaded question requiring a yes or no answer.

As you can see, there are concerns over the performance pf Brands this summer.

Though the question is specifically about this summer.

Happy with the players brought in, no reason to think any aren't good signings at this stage. Unhappy with the CB situation and the striker situation bothers me.

60% Silva
10% Koeman and Walsh
20% fans expectations based on 1987
5% Moshiri
5% Brands

Yea, sorry, I voted Yes and No just on this summer though. If we'd signed a centre half then it would have been an unqualified "Yes", but not signing one didn't make it an unqualified "No" either.

I just mentioned last summer to put this one's into context.

Without doubt, Silva didn't get all he wanted or expected, and Brands has to take the rap for that, but equally, Silva has to take the rap for not doing better with what he's got.

Brands will, ultimately, be judged over a longer timescale than Silva though, which probably isn't totally fair, but everyone knew the score on that when they signed their contracts.

I literally voted both options, as im sure 90% of people did.

Again, that doesn't make sense.

There's a lot of anger at how we've managed to blow so many points which could have put us top 3. Silva has to take his share of responsibility, but equally the man selling his players and not securing better ones than last season for him also carries a huge amount of responsibilty here.

I agree. I said earlier it'd be 2/3 managers into Brands time here to hammer just how much he's responsible for what's happening on the pitch.
