If he’s not good enough now, and probably won’t develop into a top striker. Why keep him around ? We need a top one? I know we need back up but if you are bringing on a back up striker to try and knick a goal, or your first choice striker is injured for a month or two, wouldn’t you want someone that can finish? He’s basically Marcus bent at the moment.

We've had a couple of discussions around this topic in the past mate, not just with DCL but with other youngsters taking up squad places too. We don't agree but I respect that your entitled to your opinion.

What I don't understand is your non stop baiting of the lad. As soon as he get's mentioned in a thread you're straight in there ridiculing him.

I actually agree with you on most things Tel. Think the only time we ever cross swords is re this lad. Oh and previously with Barkley of course

At the moment he's decent back up and a good option from the bench. He's gradually getting better and you would hope that improvement would continue with experience. If not, the day will come when his place in the squad needs to be taken by somebody younger, hopefully from within our academy. But that day is still a couple of years off yet. For now he's doing very well.
