I like Dom but Rashford is comfortably a better player.

He played in one of the most negative footballing sides I've seen us put out to be fair to him, not one player enhanced their reputation playing in that side.

Yeah this is pretty key when talking about the 21 year old's development into a striker.

I was certainly someone who wrote him off as awful last season - but I think we forget that not everyone is Mbappe and needs time.

It takes a real development plan, time working within a solid club structure and a team with half decent enough chemistry - to really make it good enough to start introducing young talent.

Last year we searched for the answer (or in some cases, were forced to) in players like Baningime, Holgate, Davies, Vlasic, Lewin and Kenny.

Some of those would've taken years to introduce within a consistent club structure with established management.

I'll remind everyone here that Niasse was an actual godsend last year after we had all spent the first few months pulling out hair out watching Rooney and then DCL have no positive effect for us up top.

I'd much rather Richarlison up top and Bernard or Lookman on the left than either of those three on the pitch.

Obviously Richarlison would be first choice up top, ideally I'd hope its Lookman on the left, Richarlison through the middle and Walcott on the right. I'd only move over Richarlison back to the left if he's struggling to get a kick of the ball up top. I don't think DCL is that bad of an alternative to Richarlison up top, as they offer a similar type of physicality and Richarlison has more of a chance to show his magic out wide.
