Yes it does, but not a bad suggestion as a possible stop gap until we can recruit someone. Man Utd throw Fellaini up front often with good effect. Good idea with two centre backs and one as target man. Gets my vote rather than watch the struggling DCL trying to be what he is not.Conjures up memories of Sir Michael Lyons.
Last point is pertinent, he was just languidly jogging around today while the game passed him by. Too much glaring lack of ability to get by with such a mentality.Like many not shackled to the "back the youngsters" mantra, I echo many of the recent posts. DCL has never been good enough for us and his lack of tangible progress is frightening.
He'll play against Lincoln and, like against Sunderland and whatever lower league rot we have played in cups recently, score, but he has nowhere near the required ability to lead the line for us (or even off the bench). He's terrible and barely gets involved.
I was talking about this yesterday at the match. I feel that he gets a lot of unfair criticism, but he mustn't worry the opposition defenders too much in advance. The opposition must love reading the team sheet and seeing the lack of goal threat with Dom leading the line.
We only have 2 genuine goal threats in our squad. Richarlison and Sigurdsson. Like it or not, DCL is our 3rd best goal threat. The opposition must love reading the team sheet and seeing the lack of goal threat with Dom leading the line.
At least he should shine when a team of his level, namely Lincoln City, come to Goodison at the weekend. The opposition must love reading the team sheet and seeing the lack of goal threat with Dom leading the line.
Brand new me . AV just googled Eton Dom thinking it a promising youngest we've got . At least I now know some kid at posh school Eton broke there 400 Meters record sigh him onIn Eton Dom, I suspect we have the next Harry Kane on our hands. His natural poaching instinct and eye for goal leave me speechless
Works hard, is a decent player but just doesn't add the threat that a centreforward should.
