I think my maths isn’t the best but in the league on Wiki , DCL has 16 goals in 92 games (he has started a lot of them) so his goal stats is I believe a goal every 5.75 games. I picked out another random PL striker for an example, Chris wood of Burnley he has 27 goals in 78 games his stats are a goal every 2.8 games. People rave about DCL all round game and it’s ok, but a striker needs much better than a goal ever 5.75 games.
 
Well it looks like the Great DCL debate is down to whether it's 16 in 92 (bad!), or 16 in 54 (not too bad). I'm off for Christmas brekkie, so I'll leave those who care to sort it out. Don't forget, goodwill to all men, guys.

I'm not saying DCL is good, don't get me wrong.

He's also crap.

In the Premier League this season he has scored 5 in 16 so if he nets in either of the next 2 Carlo is a miracle worker inside his first week!

What concerns me is he never really hits a ball with any conviction, we haven’t seen to much of Moise Kean but you can see he drives at the defenders and gets a shot off. DCL doesn’t really do that Perhaps the goals will come more regular, but including cup games he had played over 100 times for us, his goal scoring should really be much better at this point.
 
Lukaku 53 in 110 games for us, that’s our problem, DCL has been the main striker since Lukaku left. So we went from a 1 in 2 striker to a 1 in 6 striker. striker is a massive must in january. Do you reckon Lukaku could be tempted back to join forces with Ancelott, Lukaku and Kean up top that is a strike force I’d like to see.

Chris Wood was an established striker when Burnley signed him, albeit in a lower league. DCL has done all of his development being our whipping boy in and out of a struggling team for 3 years, playing in different systems and in different positions, including wide left, wide right, and even right back, under what will soon to be 6 managers.

Christiano Ronaldo scored 1 European goal in his 1st 24 games. He now has 129 in 174.

Ratios can change and improve over time. Its proper weird like.
