Because people say he’s the next shearer , drogba , sharp and give people dogs abuse when they say he’s not good at kicking a football

No one has ever made those comments. The ONLY thing posters have done is comment that certain leading players took time to reach a level of goalscoring consistency.

I watched a fair bit of Kane when he was younger, finishing was awful, always got plenty of chances but was poor.
I don’t know whether he was snatching at them and maybe now he has a calmness around the box his finishing has improved or he worked really hard.

Kane looked absolutely dreadful when he was younger...a lot of posters on here couldnt understand how he kept being selected

League games DCL has 16 goals in 92 games (a lot of them he has started) that’s about 1 goal in 6, that’s an awful return from the amount he has played.

If a player gets 1 minute of every match as a sub for 90 games and scores 1 goal, then only a fool would count that as 1 goal in 90 games when measuring statistics.

Its far too simplistic.

Don’t make me dig out the actual goals per game stats please, it’s Christmas.
PL: 16 in ~54 which is almost a 1-in-3

All Comps: 24 in ~66 which is just better than 1-in-3

Add to that 10 assists and a flurry of won penalties and I think he’s done okay. By no means prolific just completely tired of people trying to use stats then not using them properly.

Merry Christmas Dominic from your biggest fan x

In terms of minutes played I think last season we saw him begin to evolve after January and then now has taken another step forward in terms of all round play.

It seems alot is to do with his confidence and getting (shock horror) a run in the team.

I think my maths isn’t the best but in the league on Wiki , DCL has 16 goals in 92 games (he has started a lot of them) so his goal stats is I believe a goal every 5.75 games. I picked out another random PL striker for an example, Chris wood of Burnley he has 27 goals in 78 games his stats are a goal every 2.8 games. People rave about DCL all round game and it’s ok, but a striker needs much better than a goal ever 5.75 games.

The only way to assess forwards goalscoring stats is based on mins per goal as a sub/starter and then break that down per position they played in.

I would imagine he has better than 1 in 3 when played as a centre forward.

It really isnt hard to understand.

What do you know of Kean that we don’t? He’s so raw and needs years of coaching! Why was he sold with no buy back if he’s got it?

He was racially abused.
He had 1 year on his deal.
He had several experienced players including Ronaldo ahead of him.
His agent is Mino Raiola.
We paid a higher fee to have the buyback removed.

How many of his appearances have been as a substitute? A better reference would be minutes per goal rather than games per goal.
I don’t know that, but since Lukaku left, DCL has had serious amount of game time, he has started a ridiculously amount of game to (sign really of how short we have been up front). He hasn’t been having ten odd minute he starts most games.

As seen in @Nymzee 's post above (which another posted already directed you to which you ignored) his stats are about 1 goal every 3 games based on minutes.

However that will include the time hes been on a sub for a few mins and also even when played out of position.

So clearly his stats are not 'terrible'.

Where has the 16 in 54 games come from? He has played 94 league games for us. Some were subs but he’s ain’t anywhere near 1 in 3, more 1 in 5.

How hard is it to pay attention to basic news? What HE knows is what was widely reported in all of the news articles and understood by 95% of people. If you even read one of them you would know that A. Juve badly wanted a buy back and we forced them to do without, and B. He was in the last year of his contract and had told them he wasnt resigning, so they were forced to sell on other peoples terms.

All his mins combined are the equivilent of 54 games. From there you can calculate his goals per minute while on the pitch.

Zat, be honest. If he played for West Ham with those stats and we were seriously linked, you’d be throwing a fit saying we should go for some 17 year old playing in Holland.

Your post makes no sense.
