I like the fact that he's worked so hard (even when others have been struggling) and that he's starting to get the goals we've needed. Yes there are better strikers but there are worse ones too. He's still young and getting better; having someone alongside him like Richie is making a difference to DCL and the whole team. I'm looking forward to the next couple of games (nervous about the one against the reds) to see the impact our front two (hopefully) three can do.

DCL is now a starter for Everton; that's quite a personal achievement for Dom and the team - keep knocking them in regularly and who says we need a new striker.

FYI - Sharpy had a one goal in three record and Dom now has 8 in 18 this season (and he's 22 years old) - food for thought.

One thing I’ve also noticed is he has gotten better at absorbing contact and staying on his feet. Before I was a bit curious as to how a lad that big was always getting bullied off the ball, but you can tell he has been getting some pointers from Gomes (I kid).

I'm actually delighted for DCL

A).he's a young English striker whose actually getting a run in PL

B) we've stuck with him ( not sold after not making a instant impact) so many youngsters are sold on too early in the PL

C) He's winning us games!!!!
It's been striking how all recent managers have been fans of DCL (Koeman, Allardyce, Silva, Ferguson). You get the impression that he's great in training and has the right attitude. As a result he's been given the chances.

Contrast that with a player the same age in Ademola Lookman, who a lot of folks on here were more excited about. He didn't get into the team, was ultimately let go, and now can't get into the Leipzig team.

There's so much that we don't get to see as fans, and it's interesting with these two players that their performances/attitudes outside of first-team matches must have been markedly different for repeated managers to draw the same conclusions.

There's always 1 player from each club who fans scratch there heads over and thinks why? I think it's the beauty of players working hard to play rather than thinking they've made i
In true Accrington Stanley style......Exactly
I reckon if moyes had taken over again he would of stuck DCL uptop on his own running the channels for 90 minutes

I was looking forward to lookman to being a potential first team player and a very good one but something obviously went wrong

It would be a good return and if Richarlison can hit double figures as well which I also expect we might yet nick a Champions League place. Might be a season too early but with Ancelloti as manager I think we would cope.

We would need probably 3/4 players of a very high quality and for them all to come in and hit the ground running to have even the slightest chance of top 4
