He has improved and since Silva has gone he’s been scoring and everyone can see that. But people being called out as wrong about him because of five games is premature. Drogba comparisons aren’t really relevant either seeing as drogba was immense at holding the ball up extremely well and was always bullying the whole back line. I know he’s only 22 but even in his early days drogba was a massive presence and goals came for him later.

Did you watch a lot of Drogba at Le Mans then?

He was 24 when he left them and had scored 12 in 64.

DCL was as good 3 months ago as he is today, he is just playing in a better system. Most of you completely missed the job he was doing under marco (the job he was asked to do) and judged him on goal return alone, not his main roll under Marco.

Full of want to be experts ? Mate he was crap and we as a team were crap . I wasn’t all over it with “ glee” I was p’d off that we were crapand he was a massive part of that. You look before the derby game on here and literally 90% of the people on here were agreeing he was useless. 5 games later he’s Harry Kane again just like Barkley was the next scholes , Gerrard and Lampard

The problem is that he wasnt crap.... just like Jordan Henderson isn't crap......

Sometimes a spectator can't see the true value of a player. They look for the clear things like a goal or a killer pass.....

The only thing he is doing different now to last season is getting supported and located more centrally in order to score goals.

You only see his value in goals.
