Imagine selling Bambi to Utd for £50 million! lol

Would be the greatest business the club has ever done.

Imagine calling a player bambi all last season and the majority of this and having to carry on calling him it whilst hes netting for fun, bullying players and getting plaudits from one of the most decorated managers in history.... oh and then linked with a 50m move.....

I think bambi is making you look like dumbo

You’re new here, maybe, but just ignore him: he’s just being classic Adversus.

Will take alot more than a purple patch during a new manager for DCL to shake off his Bambi tag.

I was actually here before and this thread was toxic and embarrassing.... forever blue, armani, nsno Chris, orly.... a few other spring to mind absolutely loved ripping the lad....

I seen posters getting banned after sticking up for the lad. I actually seen posts on Twitter and other forums from fans of other clubs who were branding Evertonians as poor fans for the treatment the lad was getting on a main forum.....

This is the sort of stuff people don't think about when they are desperately trying to prove themselves right.

Playing striker for Everton has been absolute aids, Fed on scraps and left alone up front and if you get a chance and don't put it away you get slaughtered, I'm guilty of this on DCL but I think it's clear and obvious when he has someone next to him he can be a threat because he has great attributes for a modern forward he just needs a bit of polishing and knowledge to make the right decisions like his second goal against Newcastle.
I can understand why people get frustrated with him at times and some certainly don't rate him at all which is fair enough.

He doesn’t bully them like drogba tho . He used to bring balls under control that he had on right to win. He was so much more imposing and powerful and the defenders knew he could score from anywhere inside 30 yards. DLC has had 5 games mate so “ coming into goal scoring form “ doesn’t really apply until he produces it consistently. He has more pace than drogba maybe but his all round presence and physicality is not anywhere near
Drogba was about 26 when he first came to the league though.

Quite right.
The vitriol thrown at our young players on here beggars belief.
Holgate is another one who was done over on here, same as jjk.
It’s ridiculous.
Also, more often than not they have been brought into a struggling team and more or less blamed for not being pele.

The thing is, they never learn. Absolutely destroy young players as "not good enough" " championship level at best" etc etc then, when they turn good they look like tits. I have seen it sooo many times on here.

All the time. Unless they go off like Rooney at 16, they are doomed to fail.

Are people comparing DCL to Drogba? Come on seriously. Drogbas first touch and all round game were on a different level to DCL. Drogba won games on his own and scored absolute worldies regularly. And to the other argument that DCL is now played in a different system and that’s the reason we are seeing goals is also rubbish. He was missing chances regularly. Think Villa! That’s why he was getting slaughtered. Let’s see how this pans out. He’s scoring now which is far more valuable than anything else on a football pitch but his first touch and distribution isn’t great. Let’s hope he keeps the scoring up though because that’s exactly what we need right now.

New contract inbound. Securing our asset is smart business and a good move for all. People will moan about the wage but all footballers earn stupid money, it’s not their money and if they're that bothered maybe they should’ve grafted to become a professional footballer when they were younger.
