I dunno what anything you’re saying has to do with the topic of this thread mate. Your just being a sarcastic, pedantic helmet at the moment. Name calling and picking the bones out of spelling errors ? You really don’t have anything else you’d rather be doing?
i cannot think of anything more worthy than helping u not look so much of a bozo right now bud.

I get that and I like seeing young players come through but I like my strikers to actually look composed in front of goal and despite his purple patch at the moment he still concerns me in that department at the moment.
Have to agree with this. In my head he's gone from 'quite neat in build-up, but hopeless at goal scoring', to 'maybe he does have a bit of potential - let's see how he goes'. Jury still deffo not in, in my view (not to say that others don't have more insight).

I'm still waiting for a rocket goal from a tight angle, or when 1-on-1 with the last defender, scoring 50% of the time and nearly always getting a shot off. That's what top scorers do, and I haven't seen it from DCL, at least not consistently.

You like a lot of others are impatient how about you keeping your composure and be positive towards the lad, he's improving all the time and still it's not good enough for some.

I don’t think I am , he has been our first choice striker for 3 years and I was getting sick of watching him run around fast , jumping high and scoring no goals. I wanted to keep lookman and vlasic I just didn’t see anything special to warrant 3 years of patience I’m DCL that’s all

He's been in and out the team and the main striker for about a year, given his age, the state of the team round about him and the faux manager with crap tactics I think he has done remarkably well leading the line, so IMO you are being negative and impatient.

Not quite. It's more that a lot of people don't want our 1st team in the Premier League just to be a prolonged training course for DCL, so he can be a class act 6 years after his debut, but causing us many, many poor results in the meantime.

If we're really seriously ambitious, we need a high quality scorer now, with DCL chipping in here and there till he gets good enough. A reasonable point of view, I think.

No.... I've never watched the French second division..... it's a poor league. Which is surprising that Drogba was playing at that level at the same age as Dom..... surely at that level a superstar footballer would be scoring 50 goals a season?

Unless..... unless..... He may have improved after the age of 22, got stronger, worked on his finishing........? You think???
Mate, Drogba was one of the best centre forwards I’ve ever seen. He could score every type of goal and was a match winner at the highest level. Granted, I’ve now been informed, he seems to have been a late developer. Everyone matureat different ages, we can quote Rooney, Osman, Kane, Vardy and countless others no doubt. All by the way to suit whatever argument you want to put across. I’m just judging on my bare eyes. DCL has played over 100 premier league games, regardless of his age, and I see a decent striker who can no doubt get better. But I would have to see an improvement like no other for him to start burying 25 yarders on a regular basis and dominating games like Drogba did. Technically there’s no comparison. Things can improve on players, but I’m yet to see a player who’s ball control, first touch, technical ability and ball striking improve so much after playing that many games. I’m talking about qualities that players have at whatever age group.
I don’t want you to think I can’t see DCLs qualities. I can and I’m a fan. But I’m not having a Drogba comparison. It’s classic fan talk. A few bad games and he’s championship level, a few good ones and he’s Drogba...

I can go with that up to a point, but I can assure you now he has more support in a different we will see him come on leaps and bounds, I think you'll agree the change as been quite dramatic already hence us discussing it.

Kind of agree, myself (with you, not me). He has started scoring goals, rather than just being neat outside the area. The goals are of the 'right place, right time' variety, which is a big part of a scorer's armoury, granted. Still awaiting a glut of 'quality' goals, though. He's bound to have lots of opportunity till the end of the season, so we almost have no option than to sit back and see how he goes.

Spot on - our fans dont care if we never get europe or trophies so long as we can say our YOOF run around alot for the club.

Calvert Lewin wears Mason Greenwood pyjamas anyway so you can file the Utd rumours as jarg.
