Glad the Alan Shearer comparisons have dried up.

Hate to say it but DCL just ain't a good player.

I hope i'm wrong but all the best strikers show they have that knack for being in the right place at the right time early on and finish instinctively. DCL doesn't. The few accidental times he stumbles upon being in the right positions, he misses.
 
It's the commercial factor. He's good looking. Like David Beckham stole a living as a very slow winger. But he sells shirts and the media turns a blind eye to the glaring short comings.

He’s had several seasons now, Marcus. This isn’t based off a few games. It’s a lack of improvement over a long period of time. Patience has been granted. Patience that he wouldn’t get at the truly top clubs, where the bar is set higher.

Fans are quite rightly asking us to raise the bar higher than DCL. Stop giving him the 9 shirt. Stop giving him starts. Raise the bar and he either steps up with it or he doesn’t.

It’s frustrating. He hasn’t shown anywhere near enough to warrant the game time that he’s had. Wouldn’t make the bench at any other team with top 6 aspirations, let alone teams actually in the top six.

If we stuck him on the transfer list tomorrow, I’m not sure many PL teams would show interest, even at a modest fee like £10m. Sheffield United at a push?

I couldn't really tell If he was decent i was just too busy reeling at how good looking he was whenever he played. Unbridled jealousy and an unwillingness to believe anyone else can look so good and be gifted. What kinda God would do that to me.

Gary nev spot on? I’m assuming it’s gary Neville that has said this. Neville thinks we are Everton and that Everton is a small football club that only exists to give Man U and the other top teams fixtures to play. He sees us as one of the other clubs that buy players and play them in order for Man U to cherry pick the good ones and hover around mid table achieving nothing. He wouldn’t want DCL anywhere near Man U And rightly so.

Beckham was a quality player mate and played for some of the biggest clubs in the world. Stealing a living doesn’t really apply to him imo.

Beckham was a great player who got tons of assists for United.

He wasn't fast, but he didn't need to be when he could cross the ball and pick out players so well.

Beckham is the best crosser I've ever seen and his stats back it up.

If you prefer style over substance you must rate Bolasie cos he runs fast and dribbles a lot but doesn't create anything.
 
Its time for Tosun as number two to Kean. DCL needs a spell on the practice ground and the bench.

Tosun no Latchfield but he's handy in the box and would have buried that chance against Villa as would almost all
PL forwards. The Burnley, Norwich, Newcastle forwards from the weekend would have passed the ball into the net
not just try to hit the target as DCL did. DCL is not a penalty-box player.
