I think some people don't actually appreciate how far the lad has come since he's signed, constantly demanding more which is a bit unfair given the visible improvement he has shown which can only have come from training hard.(and playing learning his role)

...his all around contribution is something that stands out. He’ll positively impact football matches even when he’s not scoring goals. As Evertonians, we watch him 90mins every game so we see everything, warts and all, so it can be misleading to compare with others we watch now and then.

DCL could now be the clubs most valuable asset. As far as DCL is concerned, i guarantee Ancelotti will be the envy of Managers throughout Europe.

I'm not sure I said he was better than Aguero, but as of today, yes he is better than the 32 year old Aguero who is almost at the end of his career and ravaged with injuries. Is he better than a prime Aguero? Definitely not. Can he be? In my view, probably not. I'm all for the idea footballers can get better, but at 23/24 hes not going to become a whole different player.

That being said, Ageuro who is exceptional cant do some of the things Dom can. Hes can head balls in from 8 ft in the air the same way Dom can. I think there can be an over focus on what people can do, and more of a focus on what they are able to do.

As for the final point, it's a fair enough assertion. I'll be honest that I'm nervous of the idea. I had a similar belief the last time we had a similar goalscorer in Lukaku and it didnt work out that way at all. I'd also say, in general his all round play is very good, far more so than Lukaku.

To me the case against DCL is more that he is reaching peak value and that as a club, this might be a good moment to cash the chips. You look at Richarlinson last year, we didnt, and he has lost a lot of value since the .

You see that theres not much more improving he can do and that while hes performing to a world class level, hes not necessarily a world class player (if that makes sense)?

I can see some sense in that. You hedge that Moise Kean can come good and Richarlinson will kick on. Everyone will have a different view on it I'm sure, but 100m in a market where King goes for 2-3 and Ings has 12 months left on a deal is tempting.

I suppose I'm not sure he will be able to add that to his game. I mean he can improve, and it can never be said of him he hasn't, but I think it will always be weakness.

There is a part of me that thinks Everton may be falling into a sweet spot where it could make sense to switch to a Richarlinson up the middle. If you look at the best teams, who have lots of pressure and time in the opponents box, he will probably do quite well there. His size, strength and Aerial ability dictates that and he is proficient at one touch finishes.

Likewise at a poorer team, he would be useful, he's a good target man, runs channels well, works hard.

Part of me wonders if we are in reality a bit between them and that a striker like Richarlinson, who at his best is a little more rounded may help us more.

I'm not saying bundle him out of the door for nothing, but if a United came in with circa £100m and that allows us to go and get another 5-6 like we did this year of King, Allan, Doucoure, Godfrey, Olsen, James (not to menton the two young lads we have bought in) it should to be considered.

I think if we look at the spine being 4 key players...GK / CB / CM / CF then at the moment weve got CB (Godfrey) and CF (Calvert-Lewin).

Both 23 and going to be key players for us over a decade if we can continue to improve.

If anything, we should be looking at having a Richarlison / DCL partnership but i think we need to improve the rest of the 11 and squad to allow for the 2 CFs.

In terms of replacing DCL i think thats daft. If anything we need to improve the team to get him better and more consistent service.

I am a big DCL fan mate. It was more a hypothetical discussion about under what circumstances you might sell.

I am quite torn on it. On the one hand generally teams who go on to win trophies stick together. Selling Lukaku at a similar age set us back massively. On the flip side of it, my gut feeling has always been we need to "trade" players smartly when they approach the top end of their value.

I know it's never the same and there is wages etc, but you look at what we have bought over the ast 3 windows. 6 players who have gone into the first team/squad, and 2 younger players who I believe will do for under £100m and you think- wow if we could do that again and have to lose DCL in the process to do it, is it a worthwhile sacrifice?

His man bun has had a good season as well. Wouln't be surprised to see Leeds in for his man bun in the summer. Don't think they're too keen on Bamford, Rodrigo and Rafinha's lack of man bun effort.

I've had six different tax codes in a month the got lumped on to emergency tax code at the end of January- 45 minutes to get through hopefully sorted now -
Then a GP at my practice who I despise interfered with my diabetes medication without letting me know he phoned last night and after a heated debate he backed down I remindeded him of his last intervention which put me in hospital.......bit of a bully boy rarely see him he was standing in for my good GP altered my tablets without any consultation told him he was out of order .....
Other than that after reporting him to the specialist and the top diabetic nurse from the hospital who he also slated I await the outcome he is a right bullyboy ......
I hate bullies......I got bullied out of my profession...... back in 2003.....I made a point of never to get bullied ever again .....

Couple of things here.

A: The spine of GK--CB--CM--CF could well be 50% complete with Godfrey and DCL. If we could just add in two players there around the same age then we'd be set for a decade.

B: The club culture is changing. Coleman, Sigurdsson and one or two others are now being replaced with a group of Godfrey, DCL, Richarlison and Holgate who all seem to be extremely driven people with winning mentalities. Theres others with more experience like Mina, Digne, Doucoure and Allan of course are there but to have the 23 year olds all together looks very promising long term.

If theres any players we should be looking to sell this summer to bring in decent funds then that would be Keane, Pickford and Kean.

Get £100mil+ for those 3 and a few like Bernard and Kenny and then we can complete the spine (and add a RB).

Its easy to think about selling players at top dollar who are under 25 as thats what weve had to do for many years. But were in a different era now.

Now we need to build a top side and players like DCL need to be kept.
