I was very keen last season for Rich to take over as main striker but DCL has shut us up. I have taken back my writing him off and won’t go back on that now.. he is vastly improved and is a good premiership level striker..

however comparing him to Rich, I doubt anyone would dispute Richy has a higher ceiling (current form aside)...

So the question is who can learn what the other can do easier and for me it would be a lot easier for Richy to learn the positioning DCL has more than it would be for DCL to learn to hit a ball the way Richy can. Till this season I would also say Rich is comfortably a better finisher.. so I’m sure he can do what DCL can do...

Maybe the answer is both... if Rich were in form we would have a great blend and wouldn’t be discussion.

Pushing it that I think. Didn't he score 4 pens and 1 rebound from his own missed pen? I don't think he had a bad season by any means, but I wouldn't use his goalscoring record as an example of his usefulness. It's literally a fact that we'd have been 10 goals worse off though? He did score...

Scoring the winner is not good enough for some posters on this thread , look he should have slotted the third, but MOTD raved on how he ran that far to even get on the end of it , with experience he wil dink it over the keeper ....I was disappointed as anyone he never finished that effort , but overall he won everything in the air held the front line well,
He is still learning with 15 prem goals already in the bag so far not good enough for some posters on here by all accounts ......
