That chance in the first half....was a poor miss for me.

He souldn't be letting it come across his body. Clinical top class strikers attack that instantly, and dont even need to look at the goal.

It will come, im sure. It really is very fine margins....and he puts those types away regular, we are talking top level in the world.

That would have sealed the win and took the pressure off.

He never gives up, generally gets lousy service if any service at a
all and has lost confidence. Hopefully Carlo will recognize he needs help and do something about it.

I think this summer he'll do loads of work on the lessons from this year. It's ok if he's a slower learner - 13 goals, then 20 this year I hope, England call up, pressure, good players around him...if next year he does not again hit 20 or improve then we can worry, otherwise we can be patient again, and then hopefully see him deal with the pressure of expectations and improve again next season.

The lad is the number 9 and is still improving each year.

There was a time last year where I couldn't believe we were starting the season with him as our striker and he has proved me very wrong.

Of all our players hes the one allowed a bad patch after the form he started the season with.

He's not an out and out striker

He's still a tremendous presence up front even not scoring. He creates space for others and gives defenders the willies with his speed and strength.
And he's a vital part of the defence too.

I think folk are missing out on the fact that DCL is doing the donkey work to help create Richie's goals. We've just won 3 scrappy games on the bounce without conceding and still they wade in on DCL because he's not scoring every game.
I'd be more concerned if no one else was scoring and we were losing.

Of course they do. Doesn’t change the fact that Dom needs to be more clinical if he ever wants to be a truly top striker. That doesn’t mean he’s a bad player.

He's improved a lot, but if we were offered big money for him, would you take it and buy a word class striker if they became available, I would.
