Don't think he contributes as much as he could, besides the 6 yard box timing and a bit of aerial threat. I'm not even talking about hold up play. Carrying balls himself, being able to have a shot from distance when nothing else is on etc.
Another pretty mediocre display, albeit against great opposition. Long way to go before he hits the levels many have claimed he is at on here.

I don’t see any problem other than attacking threat. The back four is solid. We have absolutely no goal threat. If we lose Richarlison forget it. DCL had a purple patch. That’s about it. There’s nothing in his game that makes us an attacking threat.
His all-round centre forward play was good tonight. The only thing I can be critical of is that he doesn't really have the ability to make a chance for himself, whether that's shifting the ball to make space for a shot or running at his defender.
Didn't have much to feed off tonight and it was Richarlison who was wasteful rather than DCL.

He's a beast and he's a poacher. He's never created his own chances, he likely never will. Inzaghi never created his own chances either and we shouldn't expect Dom too. We either sell him because he can't do that or we keep him and stop forgetting he can't do that.

He's not Pipo Inzaghi, unfortunately.
One of the world's best poachers but he didn't really do anything without the amazing support around him. He'd struggle in this team too when we're not creating things.

Was alrite tonight, held it up well and that. Absolutely zero goal threat again though, in certain games your going to have to make chances for yourself and he's incapable of doing so.

Dom does those things... I mean he forced an error from De Gea for a goal and people called it flukey. The boy can't win; never will whilst he's here.
